How many people would be interested in a "Universal Mount" that fits 15mm offset ("studio") rods? This would give people in 15mm configurations the ability to mount or support any gear that would normally use RED's Universal Mount.

I have a machine shop ready to produce. They won't be ready in time for NAB, but probably the week after. They would be machined (not cast), black anodized high-strength aluminum. Price the same as RED's 19mm Universal Mount.

Who's interested?

Interested too.

thanks Jeff

I'd personally like to see a version for 60mm spaced 15mm rods since there's a boatload of that gear out there at a wide range of prices. Studio offset is 100mm, right? I'd be kinda surprised if Element Technica isn't coming up with that part since they already have 15mm studio top mount. You may want to double check that.

Has anyone checked with Element Technica?
I thought ET are working on this...

I would love some too:)

OK, guys, I'm not going to send out any PMs. Details will be forthcoming here, it will be public info. Before posting this thread, I had about 20 interested people wanting one or two of them, now everyone here. This thread along with some emails I've received is all I needed to know, I'll have the prototype shortly.

No reservations or anything like that. Once they're in production, they'll be immediately available for sale. Target price is (US)$125 - the same price RED charges for their Universal Mount part.

I talked to Steve about it. Yes they are working on it. It should be out soon. I wouldn't put the energy into the project it if were up to me...

They will have a full top and bottom 15mm ET system, including dovetail and baseplate, top mounts and universal adapter, EVF mount, top cheese plate.

Everything they make is top drawer.
