I am wondering if anybody has caught a UFO on an EPIC, that would be great evidence.

If not has anyone tried, or wants to try? I would try, but sadly, don't have an EPIC, thinking about a Scarlet though!

This would forever prove that all UFO's aren't fake, at 5k, how could people say it was!

(ps: What do you guys think about it if somebody caught a UFO on an EPIC?!?!)

Since R3Ds can only be created by a camera (I know you can trim, but that's beside the point) it would at least be proof that no post work (VFX) was done on the file.

That's ridiculous. Why on Earth would anyone want to shoot UFO on Epic when all professionals do it on DSLRs?

You should always shoot a UFO with the biggest baddest weapon you have, be it a bazooka or cruise missile. You should never let a UFO land or it's occupants will take over the earth.

May sound crazy to many, but I certainly plan on attempting this myself with my Scarlet. My ufo/film buddy Douglas Trumbull has been attempting this through his amazing UFO research initiative, UFOTOG, but I think Red needs to be at the heart of any serious video/ photographic research. I purchased my Scarlet-X for professional video work, but I still plan on attempting to do this if/when I find some free time ;)

A little background to those interested. A few years ago, I was apart of an investigative research team (led by legendary UFO researcher Ted Phillips) that scientifically studied an active UFO hot bed in the mid-west. We had some amazing encounters, but the Achilles heel was our lack of "high quality" video equipment. Mini-dv standard definition cameras didn't exactly cut it! However, we did get some great high-quality stills and conducted a lot of great research....but I have always, always, always wanted DSLR-eque 10MP+ RAW in video form. When I heard of Red back in 2008 I was completely blown away and fell in love! Capturing the authentic motion and texture of these unknown objects in as great of detail and quality as possible is the most important aspect of video analysis. I hope law enforcement adapts Red! Anyways, if/ when I get time I will definitely be making a trip to a very weird place (can't reveal location due to anonymity).

Graeme is right, as usual. Attached pictures of me shotting Unidentified Floating Object (UFO) with the Bazooka. :ihih:

Don't worry, one of my Epics is up at Doug's right now for testing.

Actually, they are just testing the ZeroG crane, but my camera is up there all the time so you never know.

How greedy of you. We all know you are alien.

Obviously Graeme doesn't want to share with other advanced species.

Curran - I didn't realize you live in the Berkshires and know Doug! He is a great guy! I actually talked to him the other day about your Epic (not knowing it was yours) and the zero gravity crane. He is on the verge of creating some amazing films and I hope to be involved as much as possible. If everything goes as planned I may end up moving there. Anyways, it is lways good to know a fellow Reduser! :)

Where can I see all this material? Any of it published?

The great problem with UFO material is realiability, lots of people post fake stuff or exaggerate just to make a show out of it.
