Here's an example of a setup using the new Trost M100. This is a Miller Cineline 70 head with Mitchell mount - a very beefy tripod head. Note that the M100 offset carriage leaves room for the Mitchell tiedown underneath, so center of gravity is very low. No more risers on your slider.
