Travelling abroad to fetch a RED to the UK

Hi guys.
I'm new here and looking to get into the RED workflow. Please be gentle.

I was wondering if anyone could shed light and/or experiences of travelling to the states to grab a RED and then bringing it back to the UK. Can i transfer warranty etc. Shipping costs/tax sting.
I also have a friend who lives out there, i wonder is it possible for him to buy it and to send as a gift.

I would dearly like a red One or a SCARLET-X, however the prices for 2nd hand in the UK are pretty ridiculous.
I have around £10,000 for this purchase. I need a ready to shoot.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
