Looks good, but the trailer needs a major rework. Too long cuts and disjointed. Tighten it, use more L-cuts and the part when he says "Mr Salinger" comes right before a kiss which almost made it look like he meant to kiss Mr Salinger.
Hope you or the one in charge of the trailer have time to rework it a little.
As the Cinematographer I'm hired to create a look and then make sure the images are planned and executed the way the director and I have imagined them. From there I follow the images through grading and output at the post house to make sure they are consistent.
How they cut the trailer or film is up to them and I'm not around for that part of the sausage making.
Yes, I know thatI just felt I need to input about it since I've produced trailers for five years now and I'm sorry to say that everyone is affected by everyone on a production. Bad editing sometimes holds back great cinematography because the images feels disjointed together. I think your cinematography is great, especially like the images close to the end, but a better trailer editor would have created a heightened emotional layer that would have put your images in a better light (no pun), if you know what I mean?
