Touch 5.0 Replacement?

I just noticed that the Touch 5.0 is gone from the store. Perhaps this happened a while ago and I missed it. Will there be a replacement?
The 5" size is perfect for hand-held small-rig shoots.

Yes, it's been awhile since the 5" was EOL'd. The replacement is the 7-inch; obviously at a bit higher price point but it is a full 1080 resolution. RED has been mum about any smaller replacement but I tend to doubt they will because of the transition to the Weapon form factors, among other things.

Personally, for the most compact needs, I'd go with a third party monitor like the new smallHD 502 (or other) and just control the camera in those situations with a Side Handle or a REDmote.

Thanks, Terry. I've not paid attention, as I've been off the market since getting my package last summer. A friend bought a second EPIC and I'm doing some light research.

@Bill - The screen on the 7.0 LCD Touch is much higher quality than the 5.0" and it's lighter weight.

I got rid of my 5.0" and replaced it with the 7.0".

Gotta say though, as i still have both, using the 5 as a backup, that the Shapen menu slider has given the 5 a new life...

I guess Nick is referring to the option you can adjust sharpness for every display (I think it is only on the 6.0 Beta, not sure)
So Shapen = Sharpen? (Typo)
