  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

I am sure I am missing something very basic. But for the first time since receiving my CF Weapon I am trying out the top handle. I cannot get the built in run switch to work. It is seating well on the POGO connectors but maybe I am missing something in the menu setup that is disabling the switch.Can someone much smarter than me help me out?

I just experienced the same thing after updating my firmware a few weeks ago. I do not have the latest firmware that was just released a few days ago- hopefully that fixes it or maybe it's just a dead handle?

Hmmm. I just updated my firmware before trying the top handle. But I have 2 top handles and they both don't trigger the camera.... Off to RSH I go!
 
Just to make sure... Mounted over the pogo connector?

you meed the second connector from the front of the camera, right? not the first one where the screen mounts?

don't know if thats even possible but I thought those connectors where called pogo (that is used for the screen) and then there is a different connector right infront of the fans for the handle.
 
Almost impossible to mount it incorrectly since there are locator pins. I am wondering if it is the .55 firmware. I may load one of the old firmwares... Can anyone with a CF Weapon confirm that their run switch is working with the latest firmware (.55)

I had the same problem, so I ran "Rediscover " in the Maintenance menu, and now it works...
Magnesium with latest firmware. I suspect that the handle needs to be mounted when updating firmware, otherwise it needs to be rediscovered.

I have downloaded the beta but am waiting to go home and install. Also the Red team saw this post and reached out to help. They really do pay attention to this forum and are there to help if they can. Bless them...

Any news on this?

As for the new Beta firmware, doing some random shooting on that version right now and it seems rock solid.
