Wednesday December 21st, Downtown Independent is hosting it's first in a series of monthly open screen nights dedicated to RED users. As a Bonus we'll screen the HOBBIT trailer in 3D as well as the PROMETHEUS trailer.

The show starts at 7:30, we'll screen the Trailers at 8.

If you would like to screen something please pm me or email info@downtownindependent.com

This first event is totally free and open to the general public. The concession stand will be open and serving drinks and snacks.

we'll only accept .r3d files for screening.

The theater address is:

251 S. Main Street
Los Angeles CA 90012

I did that. Other than un-wrapping the dcp there is not really a way to tell what the frame rate is on the file. The projector input frequency was 24hz. I'm not going to disclose the rate the z-screen was switching at. I'm assuming that -all- trailers are 24fps to guarantee compatibility.

Okay, I see. Just wondering. :-)

With the DCP title "NAME-OF-MOVIE_FTR-2_F_EN-XX_US-GB_51-EN_2K_ST_20111221_FAC_i3D_OV", the "2K" will be "48" if it's a 2K@48 file. If it just says "2K" then it's 24p.
