I thought the point of the Ti version was increased strength for heavier lenses.
What does it have to do with focus?
If it "shrink" or "expand" due to temperature it changes the backfocus... something i find not so important on still lenses that are not that true to their witness marks if they eve have them..
Then people argue that it does not bend and can hold heavier lenses... honestly, I think most lenses would break before the mount even before the aluminum red mount.. And the question is do you want the mount to break or the lens... In this case I think the less costly part should break. Normally if you use any quality still glas you would like the mount to break. Also I would like the mount to break before the epic body breaks....
So for me Al mounts is best for still glas as it's more likly to break before the lens or camera, for pl mount it's another story since those lenses are more sturdy so then Ti....
Got the canon Ti. ordered the Nikon Al to day... Want them all so bad, wounder how long I manage to stay away from the leica mount
