  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

"TimeScapes" Director's Commentary Excerpt

Love it

Definitely want this for my REDRAY player

Im working on getting it to Odemax asap.

Thanks for sharing, It nice to get commentary on nature stuff, and see how your project came together. Well done!

BTW, the scratches on the rock are formed when minerals are carried into fissure or cracks by water and get trapped. The reason why it flakes is because the mineral is low on the Moh's scale, and does not have the hardness of the granite rock around.

BTW, would love to hear what your up too, and if this film has lead to other opportunities, or if this films was a successful as you'd hoped. Hopefully Odemax will have a lot of potential for you in addition to what you have already managed to achieve.

Thank you very (!) much. Wonderful.

Tremendous Tom. Looking forward to hearing all of it.

Here's a shot for you because I think you'll enjoy the memory. This is Leonard Knight who built Salvation Mountain:

He hasn't been there for some time now and has been at care center, but he did make a brief appearance somewhat recently. Used to bring him water and supplies for some time on my way down to East Jesus in the Slabs.

It would be 115 degrees out and he was still out there all the time building, painting, and just doing what he did.

Tom do you own a Redray? If so what monitor(TV) do you view your 4K on?

Thanks,

Corey Olson
Laguna Niguel

Hey Tom,

I bought my Dad the Timescapes BluRay for his birthday on pre-order a while back. Would this whole commentary be on that DVD? It's bad ass, would love to watch the whole thing to the commentary.

P.S I live interstate so I can't check myself - not being lazy haha

Tom, can you tell us what tripod head you use for these shots?

Sachtler 9+9. Great head, but really heavy. It was worth dragging that thing around for bird shots, because it's so smooth.
