This timelapse video was shot using the Dynamic Perception motion control rig. Pan and Tilt moves were done using a telescope head being controlled by the MX2 controller. Lenses that were used in the video are: Canon 14mm 2.8L mk ll, Canon 24mm 1.4L mk ll, Sigma 15mm 2.8, Zeiss 28mm 2 ZF, Zeiss 35mm 2 ZF, Zeiss 50mm 1.4 ZF. The camera used for all the timelapse shots was the Canon 5D Mark 2.

The slow motion shot was done using the Epic X shooting at 240fps in 2K using the RED Zoom 18-50mm 2.8.

Very nice stuff. Do you license it for broadcast?
Thanks

great stuff, Andrew. I also have the DP dolly and like it very much for timelapses. Which telescope head are you using?
I've currently got the Automate panning head but it only goes down as far as 1/10th of a degree per move and that's not fine enough, so I'm looking to replace it.

I'm using this head. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003YLJHQA/ref=ox_sc_act_title_4

Works pretty good most of the time. I was having problems with it but I think it was more the interface cable I had to make before Dynamic Perception started making their own that work way better. Still I think your only limited to a 1/10th of a degree. Might be something in the MX2 programing. Hopefully that changes because I need something a little more fine as well.

Gorgeous images... but got to say Requiem for a Dream is the most overused score for trailers... so much so that i now HATE it.

Maybe team up with a composer? takes away from all the hard work you did to get these breathtaking images.

No offense meant, just an opinion

In the future I would like to team up with a composer. I have a couple in mind I would really like to work with.

Thanks Shawn, glad you liked it. Have to go out to crack in the ground this coming spring to get a couple shots out there.

good thing you had an Epic shot in there Drew, otherwise we would've had to take this post down. hehe XP

I know. Jim has told me with previous videos that I have posted on here that they need some RED footage. I think over cranked footage and timelapse go nice together.
