  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Time off... getting married.

Congratulations, Jim.

Judging by the time and effort you spent in this project, it takes a really patient woman to stick around... :-)

I wish you both all the best and have a great time in Pacific.

With your permission, I am going to take a couple of weeks off to get married somewhere in the South Pacific. Starting next Friday I'll be gone and not checking up on you mooks. Jarred is fully empowered to "ride herd" if things get out of control in my absence.

My sweetie of several years has been very patient with this RED stuff. Now it is her turn. She is Czech and many of you met her at NAB last year. One of the main reasons I did RED was to prove to her that Oakley was not just "lucky". She missed the action on that one and I guess I wanted to make her proud of something I was doing... not something I did. So if you are happy with RED... she deserves a lot of credit for motivating me to stay young and take another big swing for the fences. BTW... I adore her.

Jim

Sounds like the only thing you can really do to prove to her you are more than a one trick pony is give all your money away and start from scratch. Anyone could have built RED with a billion dollars Jim... everyone knows that :)

Seriously though, there is something unique and special about going through a period of growth whether it be personal, financial, or spiritual with your girl. I actually thought you were surely single. The only girl I know that happily puts up with 'RED like' hours is my girl. Nice to hear there are others in the world.

RED = Passion

Congrats Jim and the soon to be Mrs. Jannard!
Our hearts are with you.

I've always known that the biggest creations were only to impress woman.
I hope you've impressed her enough by now:)
You certainly did everybody else.
I wish both of you all the happiness!!!

Albert

Congrats, Jim. You're like me -- you go for the small, private "Braveheart" style wedding.

Have fun! I'll keep an eye on James Murdoch and the rest of those jokers at c.com. ;)

Dont do your "subject to change - thing" on this.

Jochen

.....

Oh, and congratulations!

;-)

Jim, you deserve time off. As much as the RED Odyssey has been amazing and your commitment to your customer base is off the charts, there's some things in life that just can't be topped - getting married to someone with whom you have a deep connection is one of those things. It brings everything else into perfect balance.

Enjoy the wedding, and know we'll be in good hands with Jarred (as long as he has recovered from his spider bite). Take as much time as you need. We're not going anywhere.
