Thunderbolt solutions for Threadripper 3?

Hi everyone!

I have a Threadripper 3960x on an MSI TRX40 Creator motherboard, and am trying to find if there is a thunderbolt solution for this setup?

Any help on this would be awesome!

Unfortunately, no. That MSI motherboard has the SuperPort USB-C 3.2 which supports 20Gbps, but that has not become an accepted standard. Not that it helps, but I think the only TRX40 Threadripper motherboard that supports Thunderbolt is the Gigabyte Designaire TRX40.

Switch over to the Gigabyte TRX40 Designare and you're golden when it comes to TBT3. Very stable - we have the 3960x on this MOBO and no problems.

The TRX40 Aorus Xtreme also supports it though the Tbolt card is not bundled.
