  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

This is "NOT" Good By...

I do have a thick skin, but I am a One Man Band trying to put together things that almost belong to Fiction, yet they are to be some of those fewer great things to remember, on top of it they are not for my advantage, or at list only in a small part, mostly are for you and every one, but this community stand in favor, and I was ready to step back before I ended up filling otherwise, I at times really do share too much here, as I consider it my Home, my family, I was not prepared to get the insulting jokes about it, and this have not stopped, and some continue to take back form those few threads I started and hunt me with it, and this spikes new users to follow their bad example, this does not fill good at all, I am not a child, I am a Man nearing 50, and I demand respect in the same way that I give it.

Bing so f^%#ing medicated all the time does not help either... ;) It makes all my efforts infinite times harder, yet I continue on, because I believe, and wanted to share my conquests and my losses hoping to gain support and yet inspire, that is why it hurts the most when I get made a joke of it.

But I have now, as all of you, or almost all, started a new year, and back form a 4 hours walk around the city of Rome under the rain, it helped a TONE!!


I love this community, and know hundreds of you in person, reading the replies posted in this thread, as well as the PM's and emails received, is truly appreciated and I don't consider it a small thing to me, thank you!!

Thanks Paul, I will for sure, and actually I must say that after a down fall, having spent new year's eve alone in my place, today after several hours of walk around Ancient Rome, I do fill better, and having read all the replies, Jim's included, really busted me up, and moving along in this new year stronger then ever... This is why I love this community so much, unfortunately I don't have much of a family, and what little I have does not understand me, we are from very simple people, my Dreams, and my travels have changed me, they remained the same, love them to death, and so they to me, this is why my little sister risked her life to donate me one of her kidneys to keep me alive, but neither She or my other sister and two brothers understand what I am doing, only the fellow REDUSER Members here do, this is why I take it so personal... But I will not let it happen again, I always fight for what I care, this community will not make the exception... ;)

Thanks agin every one, for your support, you have no idea how much it can mean to some one like me and my ups and downs!!

Ketch, you deserve Reduser the same way Reduser deserves you. It's your home, and you make it feel like a home. You are one of the SPECIFIC reasons I joined this community, because you made it feel open, and inviting. It made me feel like place where I could ask questions, learn, and contribute myself where appropriate. Your willingness to answer any question, from anyone, set a tone of openness and exchange that set the bar for the community, I believe. You, in my eyes, are one of the "originals", the "founders", the ancients that have walked these halls providing guidance and courage to all those entering for the first time, and trying to find their way. I say ancients in the respectful way, as in...you're a person of vast learning and magnanimous generosity (and you live in Rome, so the term fits, and you know what it means!).

I raise a toast to you sir. May 2013 be your best year ever, and may all your dreams come true.

Walk these halls with us with your head held up. Because behind you, stands an army of followers armed with pride and affection that won't let you take shit from anybody.

I remember when you moved from US to Italy.

Saw you at NAB 2011 (I hope that was you, we were waiting in line to get in and rushed to the first RED day).

I should have said hi.

Take a load off and come back when your ready to share your wisdom.

I love your posts and helping nature.

I followed your tour across the USA and read everything and learned things about Red.
Was happy to shake your hand at the NAB12. I know a lot of ppl did to and you could not remember
a lot of ppl, but I do.

Those that know me, know that I am a very Passionate person, about everything I do, Passion is my name, and Perseverance my last name, but at times my passion and care of what I do, gets me so close to everything, and personal, that I find it then very hard to detach from it all when some one attacks me with offensive and disrespectful jokes or posts, and while this in real life almost never happens, if and when it happens I am right there face to face to defend my integrity and respect is immediately restored, I only wish and love to make friends, not enemies, and I always do the best I can to make it so, on the net it his more difficult, and it is not as easy for me ot deal with it, but I am adjusting to it, in the understanding of how some people are.


I din't want to post anything, and just leave the forum little by little, as many of my fellow original early members did, I didn't want to post anything about it, especially because not too long ago Brett Ogden, posted something in this effect, and the tread was shot down my a Mod saying something like, "Drama Queen" which I tucked that as He referred to me that way, not appreciated at all, especially when that Mod, was some one I actually went way out of my way for in order for him to be also one of the first to use the RED EPIC, not cool, but then other Redusers have also complained about his ruddiness, so I guess I second him out.


Either way, I am very glad I did started this thread, as I now fill completely back at home, and will be more present then ever in the hope to bring as much help inspiration and welcoming fill to this great Community as I can.

Yes Ketch i do remember that Thread “Pushing a Great RedUser away” I did not know about the “Drama Queen” comment But it does not bug me. I am Understand Mods have there place and i see that the Thread could have stared a Flight.
I have not posted in this thread yet because i did not want one of the “bad seeds” to start saying I was You Like they have in the past. I have talked to you over PM about how i feel , And i am HAPPY that your doing well and Staying on Reduser :)

Over the past Year you have been more then Helpful with Q,Pm’s etc... NAB was a Blast, and the last 9mos as friends has been Great

I think that the "Drama Queen, comment was addressed to me, and not to you, but either way, its all cool now, I fill much better now that I have taken this big weight off my chest,and very pleased I did, as it brought out good, and happy that I can continue to stay here in this great community.


It was a pleasure also meeting you at last NAB, and I thank you as well for the help you give during those days, you are a great kid, and you'll do great things if you continue in your path,, now make sure you finish High School, so you can be one of the first students at our Film School... ;)

Ketch, people can be skeptic about your dreams and projects. Screw them. You're a doer, you're working on your film right now, you did fantastic work in many places, and you like to share with this community. I very much like to read your posts and what you share. While I aim to a different "championship" than you, I am really looking forward to seeing your film!

Happy New Year, Ketch, keep posting, and be aware you have an audience over here that likes to read your posts. Everything starts from a Dream. I think who doesn't dare to dream in this business is in the wrong field of work...

A good thing of a discussion forum, though, is to be open to other people's perspectives and never to take things personally. I'm sure many new ideas came from online forum discussions. This one in particular is very special. If one keeps a respectful yet open minded attitude, one can take away a lot. And its "our" (red owners-users) home!
