  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

This is a great idea!- No More Swapping from EVF to 5 inch touch.

THIS IS A GREAT IDEA, NO more EVF-5ich Cable swapping.

Since a lot of us like to keep the EPIC small... ( for obvious reasons ), and having to swap from EVF to 5inch and back again and again becomes a pain
And not having vision out ports to simultaneously have both running at the same time.
This product looks like a great solution.

And with the milky blacks in the BOMB EVF, The Touch screen has a far richer image...

I think the person who makes these need a support push... who's in.
Here is his link,

Lets push him along... Or someone out there (like RED them selves, Element techica, Wooden... ) =. Who will make this thing, who will make the best one.
This CINEMA [OXCIDE] does look cool though...

Just emailed. I thought I had to wait longer though unless I wanted to join up for the courses. I guess that period is now over and there pre orders have been taken. There is another one that's just come out, but has no diopter. And CO looks pretty smick. As someone who couldn't afford to fork for a bomb and loves his touch, this will be a fantastic piece of kit. Can't wait.

+ 1 that this deserved it own thread. Cheer Mark.

Best

Potentially interesting. It is clever because from the picture it seems to retain the functionality of the screen as a touchscreen as well as then operating as a viewfinder. What's the cost Mark? Thanks

I was hoping Denis from Cinevate to make something like this but congratulation to Cinema Oxide anyways.

It deserves its only Thread, not stuck deep inside another.

+1 here Im getting behind the product and believe it deserves a push and its own threat Trevor ! Good on ya Mark ... Iv'e placed my order and believe its worth buying into the infotech programme to get my hands on one ahead of the lines. Infotech are promising its members more discount deals like this which will pay for the membership alone so it seems like a win win situation to me so even if you don't want the tutorial videos you still reap the rewards on membership.

OK guys let me clear this up...

Mark did NOT put in a pre-order without signing up to Infotech (would be very unfair to those who did) .. He just Emailed Jason.. That's all. If you want to purchase this thing you can do so NOW through infotechacademy.net for $499.99 or you can wait a few days and purchase it later for the $595.00 regular price.

The video and signup information are at www.infotechacademy.net from there you will be told how to get it.

The membership is $86.00.. So yes.. You are saving money even if you sign up, and we'll most likely do this again, so you will save even more on something else!

Hope this clears everything up.

+1 for keeping this thread... Especially now (Need to clear all this up. Mods, keep it open for a little while if you can)

This little item kills two birds with one stone. Now I don't need to bother looking for that flimsy lcd hood or attach an additional evf (at least for now). Great solution, great discount, add in the 3-month RED 102 course, which the discount more than covers and we have a triple win! I ordered 2.

While I find it a clever idea, I just don't find the Red touchscreen up to snuff for critical focus. So I still need the bomb or a small HD which I consider much sharper the the touch screen.
