I promised myself I would never create a "Scarlet vs [INSERT CAMERA WITH SIMILAR SPECIFICATIONS HERE]" Thread,
but curiosity got the best of me. I live more on the creative side (opposed to the technical side),
so some thinks go above me, but I still have to ask,
Will the scarlet produce similar images to the SI-2K? The specs look very similar to me.

I will speculate, better. The sensor might be the same size, but Scarlet is definitely going to push out far more resolution (about 2x). Granted that means a lower pixel size, but I am confident M-X's technological superiority will make up for it. Really, the only spec that is similar is the sensor size. The SI-2K is rated at 320 ASA and DR of 10 stops. I have no doubt 2/3" M-X will be significantly superior.

I think Jim has mentioned before that the Scarlet 2/3's image is incredible considering it is 2/3". Which would mean it would significantly outperform other 2/3" cameras right?

SI-2K is the closest comparable camera to what 2/3" Scarlet will be when it is released. I too think Scarlet will be head and shoulders above it. But it provides a good reference point for a pro quality single sensor 2/3" camera as far as general performance and look.
