  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

That is more than pleasantly surprised. SIMPLY AMAZING.

I was only asking about 50FPS since I know the 25 FPS guys want to know. But 75 FPS at 6K is STUNNING. That ticks my 72 FPS box. I never need to go slower than that.

I fully understand that you have to save some info or if you don't want to answer... I'm SUPER APPRECIATIVE of this leak. But if 6K can do 75FPS, can 7K do 48FPS? Or is it more like Weapon Helium where 8K and 7K share similar specs?

I've read a good many of the pages here, although not all 378.....

I've got two Epic Dragons with two NAB'15 15K deposits for CF Weapons-8K, which I never pulled the trigger on. Now Weapon Helium is for me! Can the deposits be applied? Accessory credit still available? Has the upgrade price been posted (or estimated)?

BTW, love the fact that you can run a wildly successful business and continue to give stuff away like this!

If the way its implemented on Raven or MG is anything to go by, once you have that kind of scenario, ProRes gets automatically disable

75 at 6K is pretty awesome, i was sold a few weeks ago, now even more sold if that's actually physically possible.

What i would love to know is at what RedCode values we're talking about in general. I don't know whether anyone has had any chance to compare the theory of HighResolutionMoreCompression vs LowerResLessCompression but i do mostly vfx work, i'm used to pixel peeping edges and compression can be pretty obvious in ways that visually isn't. S-W is 5:1 normally whereas the tease posted had 8K running at 9:1. No idea if that's a limit or there is more headroom in there? (I am a Red ecosystem neophyte coming over from Sony...)

I know, i can wait, but just in case...?

Thanks. Im still very happy to keep shooting on my Epic MX. If it was $17,500 plus I got to keep my Epic Mx i think I would made a the jump=)

When the epic was born my only big complaint was it was not 100fps in 5k and 125 in 4k. That had been so sweet. I think my next Red camera will have fullframe but right now I think Im better served with something else to compliment the Epic.

Above 6K things get A LOT more difficult, so its not linear like that.
 
This has been asked in a couple of different ways but I don't think I have seen a definitive answer...

I am a Scarlet Dragon owner who has ordered a Scarlet-W package (with the discount). I haven't yet taken delivery so if f I want to move my order to Epic-W, I still get to hang on to my existing Dragon, correct? Seems to make sense from the implications in the programs but just want to be absolutely sure...

Holy Fire Chief!

That's way more than what would have been needed to make me go crazy! You tick a lot of boxes here, if not too much already. LOL

Guess i'll do as much stupid things as i need to do to get this baby here. :)
