  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

This excitement is crazy to watch. I'm a raven depositer from February and definitely can't afford even the step up to scarlet-w deposit as much as I want those options come oct. 11th, but maybe one day. For now i'll sit back and watch the excitement and can't wait for the raven to arrive

Ha! This is awesome!

I took a risk and instead of flowers, sent decadent chocolate strawberries instead! If Brent doesn't care for those, he can always pass 'em on to other members of the team.

Look, I don't even know if I'll be able to afford the EPIC-W at this time, but thanks for making it, RED!! I do think this will be THE sweet spot of the RED lineup. But you could never have gotten here without having made all the stuff that came before.

I'm in LA for the Shane Hurlbut production workshop, Oct 7-9. Would love to attend any RED user stuff if anything is scheduled during that timeframe. Please ping me, folks!

Man, the change in the vibe in this thread is soooooo welcomed..... Every single person at Red is just a gift of a person for what they do and how they've contributed to the film making community being what it is today. I'm hoping that there are enough flowers there for every person at RED to get a rose on their desk as that "thank you" to know the community appreciated everyone in every position there. You guys rock on every level.
 
You guys rock! Love it. So glad to be part of the RED team and see all these amazing updates/ camera tech coming out, inspires me to work harder for this cutting-edge technology. Pushing the limits all while being cool dudes. Kudos team RED! Will try and work my a$$ off to hopefully be able to get into the Epic-W line, but am so damn happy with my Raven, but dammnn the Epic looks so sexy lol. Maybe Brent would like some Aussie chocolates - TimTams are bomb. Haha

Abiodun, good catch. Here is lay of the land for RAVEN folks:

* If you have a RAVEN in your hands Oct 10 or before, you will have a trade-in upgrade path to EPIC-W. This will be limited time offer.
* If you have a deposit in for RAVEN Oct 10 or before, you can switch your order to be for an EPIC-W at same "we are sorry" price SCARLET-W folks are getting it. This will be limited time offer.
* Until we say otherwise, RAVEN folks can switch RAVEN deposits over to a SCARLET-W.

I believe (or atleast want to) the last line was meant for those that are interested in WEAPON HELIUM hence the brackets
 
Hey Brent! what is the upgrade path from scarlet-w to Weapon helium? 10k to Epic W, what are we looking at to jump past epic-w to helium?

you're right, he just clarified. Wow, raven now has a path. Someone tell Jordan Levy he has a chance to upgrade his raven even though he took delivery of it. RED really is ridiclously generous with this stuff

You can assume the delta of price difference between EPIC-W and WEAPON HELIUM would be in effect for the special pricing.
 
This thread is great. I check in yesterday evening and we're on page 275. I come back this morning and now we're on page 305. This Epic-W is going to be amazing!

I won't say whether this was always the plan or if we changed our mind along the way. I think Jordan has sometimes gotten a bad wrap on the boards, I have probably not helped in that myself. But, I have talked to some folks who have met/know him - both RED folks and non, and they have great things to say about him as a person and a shooter. So, if option to move from RAVEN to SCARLET-W, or even EPIC-W, gives him a pat on the back, so be it : )
