  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

AND BOOM, I don't know why so many thought it wouldn't do 8K 24fps that didnt make a lot of sense to me

For me personally, it was about setting the expectation low with gratitude for whatever surprises may come (like just now) vs. unrealistic expectation and a sense of entitlement that ends in disappointment.

Now that 8K Epic-W can do 24FPS at 9:1, I wonder if 7K can do 48FPS at 12:1 or ?. Some of you math wizards probably can figure out the data rates.

And can it do 8K 24 FPS RAW and 4K scaled ProRes at the same time?

See... just asking the question feels ungrateful?

Thanks for the 24FPS reveal Jarred. Super helpful planning info. That is all I really needed to know. Time to talk to my investors. :)

Jarred how will you keep us in suspense the next two weeks? I can't imagine this roller coaster glides to a stop.
 
24fps. That's awesome. But you do know what's going to happen when the European colleagues wake up. :)
 
But, why the hell doesn't it shoot 16k at 500fps! *sarcasm* Sweet deal. Pumped to see what you Epic-W guys end up making with this beast.
 
At this point I'm living vicariously through the Epic-W folks.

You guys seem really stoked at the 24fps news, so I'm happy!
