Any helium pocket glimpses Jarred? :)

The current working ProRes output to 2K is a scaled 2K, correct? So even if shooting 6K on a Weapon or 5K on a Scarlet-W, it is scaling (and not cropping) to 2K for ProRes... is that correct?

The 4K ProRes image he showed did say 24 FPS in the corner. So the question is whether that was scaling from 8K to 4K ProRes at 24FPS or from something less... like 7K or as Samir mentioned, 7.5K WS.

(Never mind, that 24FPS in that corner is just the Project Frame Rate)

Though that 24FPS wasn't in verispeed

After this Pic, Jarred, please, please please give us A heads up if we want to go Weapon Helium if we need and should update to Weapon magnesium before the 11th. To go 8K , specially for motorsport I can't really go back to slow frame rates...

Hey Jarred,

Since the Helium is so much better in low light, and after playing with all of the frames that Erich has posted I'm noticing that even above 3200 seemed pretty darn useable! Will the new firmware with the Epic-W and Weapon Helium allow for higher ISO in camera? I noticed that the latest firmware stops at 3200 I believe... Maybe I'm mistaken. Apologies if this was discussed elsewhere. Thanks for all of the bits of info you're throwing our way!

I'm using them every day and they are awesome. Still months of testing left on them though...

Thanks Jarred for the pic - sure do love the slim profile of those v-mounts, will be great for handheld and gimbal work.

Though that 24FPS wasn't in verispeed

Varispeed jusy means the project frame rate is set to something other than what the camera is shooting at the moment. You can set the project frame rate to 24 even if the max frame rate you can shoot is 12fps.

I called it. There's no way they would eat into the Weapon Helium 8K.

Sure, but the pic of the prores option had audio metering instead of verispeed at 24fps. Might have been at 6k, who knows.

After that and the 'not a chance' comment I'd place bets on it being 12fps @8k though.

12FPS at 8K... 9:1 compression. My guess is that is the limit for 8K (though still hopeful for more). Although he clearly is in photo mode at 1/144.

Sure... you can have a little more.

Jarred, Christmas is less then 3 months away! That forged CF plate would look good in my stocking:)...
