  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Are you assuming that they can simply pop in a helium sensor to your SW? Cause I highly doubt that's the case. If you buy a new camera, use it for a bit, and then turn it in to get a discount on an even better new camera, your going to lose value in your used SW trade in/upgrade soon as you take it out of the box, over just buying the EW to begin with on its own. It seems pretty clear to me what is the best way to go cost wise.

So a new Epic Dragon brain now is $24k

And Epic-W will be north of that... but presumably still below the Weapon MG, which is $29500....

puts the price in a pretty clear spot.

That is, unless it comes in ABOVE Mg Weapon in price and specs. Jarred said that Mg will have a path to S35 8K Helium, but I bet it will be expensive and will require new boards. If Epic-W is also Helium, it would have to be a smaller cut of Helium to come in UNDER Mg....in terms of again, price and specs. No? I am of course just guessing!!!
 
Is there anybody who has received his Scarlet-W since June?

Haven't heard anything since the "month of ravens"... I've hoped for a massive amount of Scarlet-W allocations after that one, but now it looks like they would have stopped allocating Scarlet-Ws at all...

he already mentioned a few weeks ago that sorry for the delay but a bunch of sensors just got in and they will be able to allocated scarlet-w again soon.

So Epic-W = $26,750.00USD
 
Weapon MG is actually in kinda a cool spot. It can go "Sideways" to Epic-W Helium , or upwards to Weapon Helium.
 
hmmm, sideways, then it might be priced the same as weapon mg...

'Sideways' suggests that this could mean Epic-W has parallel 220MB/s internals to Weapon-MG, and 'upwards' suggests that it could also be a parallel upgrade path, being to 300MB/s internals capable of the 8K cut.

That would explain a similar price bracket and upgrade path as MG, although the resulting 6K Helium sensor size has me a bit stumped. lol
