  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Looks like another week with no Scarlet-W allocations.

Good news is that Raven's seem to be cranking out like crazy.

Anyone know whats going on with Scarlet-W's? (Fixing paint flaking issues?)
 
Who cares the paint is flaking. I don't give a shit how it looks like, it's for using not for looking at. All my cameras have dings and scratches. As long as the image looks perfect.

Sounds like you should take a little bit better care of your gear hehe.

I guess you do not agree but if I am spending 15k on camera gear, I would expect the paint not to flake off easily.
 
is there a scarlet-w queue somewhere? if not it might be nice if a senior member who ordered can start one.

I'd like to know this as well. The Raven queue seems to be updated nicely!! Queue or no Queue, nothing much has happened with the Scarlet's for 2 months. :prrr::prrr:

Can confirm. Still wondering ha. But luckily the wait isn't as bad since I'm getting more than fair use out of the Epic loaner. But I will happily give it back in a heartbeat for the Scarlet! All my dsmc2 accessories are just sitting in their boxes collecting dust D:

Damn, you still have an Epic loaner? I thought that was just for May during the halt.

I opted to not request one since I have an FS7 and it gets the job done. But damn, I'd love to be shooting on a RED if I could...

Also a little surprised myself. My bomb squad rep told me I could use it until the scarlet was ready (I ordered within 35 minutes of preorders being available) which I assumed was like 2 weeks into June.

Maybe they forgot about me... I should hush now...

Super helpful though as I dumped a lot of money into the dsmc2 system and put myself in a corner expecting it to come out the first half of the year. My other cams are just DSLRs with a C100 available to rent cheap.

Haha, then yes, I'd consider you a bit more deserving than me for the loaner! The C100 isn't terrible, but at least I've got 10-bit 4K with pretty great dynamic range on the FS7. I don't long for the old DSLR days ;)
