  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

$10K Move from S-W to Epic-W? That's a good compromise. I would have probably done it if I didn't get my S-W already.

I wish there was a $20K Red with specs a bit better than S-W (namely 60fps 5K), but below the $30K camera. Such a big price gap.

I thought it was going to be $9500 (night in the Bently Suite) to go from Weapon Mg to the Epic-W?

I would say as a MX owner, give the scarlet peepz priority. Why? Because we have camera's for the time to come. Scarlet-w costumers probably not, or no RED.
We can wait they can't.

Yes existing Scarlet-W owners too... but you that have your cameras already will need to wait till the ones that don't and want to upgrade get sorted.

How's it looking for Epic Dragon to Epic-W?
 
I'm excited for October to clear this all up because the prices look like this,

I have an Epic Dragon-X from before NAB 2015 that I paid $24,000 for and I'd have to pay $14,000 for a weapon mg (plus some nice extras included in the upgrade).

People who bought Scarlet-W for $9,950 need to pay $10,000 for Epic-W

Epic-W and Weapon Mg are both $29,500.

I'm not complaining, but Scarlet-W ultimately is half the price I'd pay (granted I've had my camera for years) and 2/3 what it costs new? Pretty great for S-W owners in waiting.

Epic Dragon and Epic MX to Epic W are going to pay a bit more than 10k for the upgrade.. but you will have pole position.

Just pay attention in October..... if we have learned anything here is that waiting is part of the RED game except for those that sneak in as soon as the bell rings.

I'm with you anton. looks like we are 14K > MG-d / 24K epic-wH / 34K woven-d, based on the current info. crossing fingers for some nice paths from epic-D!
 
I think since Weapon Mg and Epic-W are 'sideways', and considering Jared's post above yours, maybe it'll be 14k for either? Hopefully with the same bag of goodies included :)

the goodies are perhaps the best part! if theres one thing we know from the past, its that jarred will take care of current owners.
