Epic-W has same physical sensor size as Helium Weapon.

Hmm... I've made a few posts (here and on the Scarlet-W FB group) speculating that maybe since Helium is a totally new sensor that you guys will offer varying resolutions at the same sensor sizes (i.e. 5K S35, 6K S35, and 8K S35), could it be true?! I think a lot of guys would be pumped about that!

Huh? I didn't mean to imply it would, unless my mention of the SW FB group was confusing. I just meant people on there were talking about Helium, so I had been speculating there.

EDIT: and by "a lot of guys", I mean guys that are happy with the resolution and sensor size of their Epic or Dragon, who are worrying that a 6K "cut" of the Helium sensor would be small (assuming Helium is a fixed pixel density and therefore must be a smaller sensor if you lower the resolution from 8K)

Never mind... I read once for content and failed to read a second time for comprehension... and failed to realize you were talking about the PANAVISION VV sensor.

Still, I wonder how the old sensor 8k VV will play out vs. the new sensor 8k HELIUM.

oh I just thought since weapon helium was 8k, epic-w TBD, that was the only 2 versions of helium. a 3rd would have been something that could have fit into the SW i would think. but sounds like if you want helium its 2 flavors, at least for now...
