We love our cameras so much, it's hard to keep the decision logical.

If it's Epic-W, your pipeline is gonna need to be able to handle 8K. Because word is, and check this for yourself, that 8K = Super35 on this camera. If you shoot 4K, it's essentially 16mm film. This is a problem for me, because super35 is really important for the work I do.

For me, I'd gladly shoot 2K/4K ProRes instead of R3D raw. Or shoot 8K Raw at 14:1 compression which is only 326GB/hr and transcode to 4K.
