  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

I may be a bit misguided, but is the Dec. 31st (if stock allows) to upgrade by path deadline for just the previous Red owners such as Red One and etc. Or does that include all the cameras in Reds lineup..

Might have read somewhere in this thread that Raven's window will be significantly shorter?
Would love to know how long we have till we need to pay that +$10K to upgrade to Epic W?

And I recall Matt Q suggesting that it would be hilarious if this thread made it to 300 pages before 10-11 hahaha

Which deposit? If you're a S-W deposit upgrader, you need to get your deposit in ASAP. Once the announcement comes out, there's no depositing unless you want to buy at full price.

What's the highest frame rate that Epic W can shoot 8K RC 2:1 for stills?
I like that I can do 12fps 6K RC 2:1 stills on Epic Dragon.
 
I recommend you try the REDucation 12 steps, which involved upgrade, arm your Weapon , shoot some pretty images, etc and repeat. :)

I purchased a used Red last week so I'm curious to see where I stand on all this.

If you just acquired a used RED have you had a chance to do the transfer of ownership? If not you won't be able to upgrade it to anything until you get that serial number register with RED under your name.

If you keep with your Scarlet-W order you get to keep your package. But if you want to go Epic-W for $20k then you swap out the package deal for that new opportunity.

An interesting note: Guys who had Scarlet Dragons and ordered the Scarlet-W package... very few if any at all probably received their package deal yet anyways. Almost all of the Scarlet-W orders that have been delivered have been Raven to Scarlet-W switchers. (bonus for Raven orders!) Tomorrow is the big bonus for Scarlet-W orders to get to go into the Epic-W!

It's like a RED parade and they are just throwing out cameras to use like they are candy!
