Sorry Rory, I must have mislead you. I wouldn't be "flying" it, just hand held. I'd still need to go the matte box route as S4's have a 110mm front and I'd also need to IR's as well. With the LiPo batt. How do you mount it? Velcro? What connector could I use to run F/I control and camera?
Hi Ned, I mount my LiPo with a velcro strap that is screwed into my Epic top plate and I also have velcro on the battery to keep it in place so it doesn't move around.
I use 4S 1300mAh batteries with I fly on my Octo as they power the camera for around 20 minutes and I can fly for about 10 so I'm good change batteries when I land.
For handheld work I use two 2S 2200mAh in series so get 4400mAh which will power the camera and accessories for an hour.
I custom make my own cables to power the Epic, RT Motion FF and ParaLinx. I also have a Y splitter cable the splits off the battery power to the camera and accessories and I run a low voltage alarm to know when I need to change the LiPo.
I sell these cables, and make ones for other FF and Tx, email me at lipo@minefilms.com
