I'm not at all sure how this was done but it's hard to believe it's all CG (which is probably the best praise you can give a CG project!). I particularly liked the focus racks and the shots of old cameras for a bit of film nostalgia .

The guy who made this states that it was, "Done with 3dsmax, Vray, AfterEffects and Premiere".

This is as good or better than anything I've seen. What's amazing to me is that he not only animated everything but also did all the architectural design himself.

Wait a second... Gattaca... he's using the music from Gattaca, and the rocket flying over that structure... hmmm....

Brilliant. Almost brought a nostalgic tear to my eye for my large format days. Almost. Renaissance, the new Eden, a digital one where all who are passionate enough may have a voice. Drop the formalities lads, it's a new era and it's a free for all. ( :

Absoloutely beautiful! One of my favourite short films. Beautiful seeing Mies Van Der Rohes Pavillion, Gehrys Bilbao, Calatrava's work and many others exhibited in such a breathtaking way. Amazing. Architecture is my former life and passion, seeing it in a beautiful film is pure bliss! Thanks for sharing.

This might just inspire me to start an Architecture Films thread... #1 would be Gattaca featuring Frank Lloyd Wright!

Amazing!!!

I would suggest that WETA Digital should invite this artist in NZ to work on some real cinema VFX projects...

That was absolutely astonishing. So beautiful that by the end of it I was wiping tears from my eyes.

if someone would have showed me that footage, I would've sworn that it was real. Incredible...

Maybe he's happy where he's at and enjoys his current work more than feature FX.

Could be but also some artists would like to take a new opportunity...

"Alex Roman

I was born in 1979, in Alacant (Alicante), a city in Spain. I would first like to say that my real name is Jorge Seva,
but I use 'Alex Roman' as an artistic alias for publishing independent work. After being trained in traditional painting
at a few academies, I discovered this other world called CG. After school, I made the move to Madrid and began
working at a visual effects company. That stint did not last too long due to the lack of demand for visual effects
in the Spanish market at the time. It was then, that I switched into the VIZ business. I have been working for several
companies since. Some time back, in partnership with Sergio Miruri, we had attempted to run our own company -- unfortunately,
our efforts were not met with success. Currently, I work as a senior leading artist in a company based in Madrid. In parallel,
I'm also working on an "already-built work" visualization series which will be stitched together into a short animated piece."
