  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

The Raven Shot on Red

I really liked the look of the short and the optical flare effects looked cool as well. Hopefully we will get to see more of this one day. I always like to see stories like this where humans themselves are more powerful than any army could be.

Oh wow, thanks for sharing! Do you know in which 3D suite the machines were made and rendered in? Definitely fantastic!

That's good!

How was the experience of doing sound post-production? How much budget did you have for this?
I can see you guys did it down here in Chile!

WOW!
Looks like a clip from an expensive movie.

So lets do the math... $5000 per 10 minutes of screen time... equals 120 mins = $60,000 for a full feature length Movie.

But thats only if everyone got paid peanuts or nothing for the whole project :)

Still.. bloody nice work though. Inspires me to get into my film.

Congrats

The sound was actually all done for free. The sound mixer and the director went back and forth through email and phone, and I think the end-product showed that it really wasn't a problem at all. It worked out great.

Thanks for all the praise guys. Hopefully we can do more for you soon.

Big grats on the Universal pickup guys. I assume the feature will be shot on the Epic. Great story of how to make a concept take wings on a low budget.

That is awesome! I just passed this news and your short on to the group of people I work with. I am always telling them we need more CG in our Sci-Fi and Military stuff.

One thing you have made clear to me, I need to get Maya. The last short (which I think we are releasing Monday) I used Blender to do some helicopter sequences and compared to Maya (as I have experience with both Maya and 3DStudio) was ROUGH to say the least. For a free program it is AMAZING, but the hassle I went though in animating was horrid.

Again, congrats.

Fabulous.
