  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

The Meizler Module... The Details.

That's what the quad battery module is for....
 
Jarred, will the Meizler Module support Chrosziel wireless systems, or only Preston and Cmotion?
 
ORDERED... HOwever we need to figure out something about Hot Swappable power, as I have come to love way too much the fact that thanks to the QUAD and DUAL REDVOLTS Battery Modules, I can shoot and shoot without worries.

It would be nice if we can at list SWAP out the IDX single V-Battery plate for a DOUBLE one... Can we Jarred?

Or similar...

That is exactly what that is which I posted above Trevor, but if there can be a fixed mounted one will be better... ;)

Just need to see if there is actual space to support such possibility without getting in the way of the cables.

I know that, but... it's just that it was announced reservations would open at IBC, then specified on the 10th. Well it was 3:15am on the 11th here when reservations opened, which makes it 6:15pm in Cali!?! If I'd known that was the time, I could have set my alarm, but I couldn't stay up waiting for reservations to open without knowing when. I already did wait 8.5 hours. I made my reservation first thing this morning, how far down the list am I?

Another question, does full payment have to be done upfront? And, when can we order the Red Wireless, will they be available at the same time?

i've a doubt....when shooting in redlog film mode in epic is there any option to ingest redgamma 3 look into the proxy's that are being recorded to the mini mags simultaneously??....so that r3d files are redlogfilm and proxy mov's are dailies ready with redgamma 3 look ...
 
The product was posted at 8pm tonight PT. So even later locally to others in US as you go east. IBC local time is 5am when 8pm here? Sounds like it hit first thing in the morning for you while most people locally here were off the clock. We have actually had more orders from outside US than domestically....

So, yes, we posted the day we said we would, local time. And speaking of local, I think we have proven to post stuff at all hours. It is 3am and I am replying.

Thank you for the personal reply, I didn't want to sound like a whiner, I was just a little furstrated as I was hoping to be present when the Meizler became available on line. Anyhow, I really appreciate this direct communication. I hope I still managed to get in early on the reservation list and I really look forward to sticking that Meizler mudule on the back of one of our cameras. By the way, I haven't seen this discussed anywhere, will the Meizer work on a Scarlet?

I find the Meizler just incredible but why develop this Ipad app? It's a toy. I can't figure how a AC would bring the fragile Ipad on set when he can control the cam with the Touch LCD, Side Handle, Body, Redmote.

Hi Pat,
Actually, once you've seen the options and ease of use of the iPad and Red sync software... you'll understand, you can do everything the Redmote can, and much much more, one of the things I really like, is the ability to output shotlists of the whole day, imagine if you're shooting with /i lenses, in any case you have the number of shots, the shot names, the TC, the frame rate and resolution, and notes, whatever info you want to add. This application is the scriptperson's and the AC's best friend. (I don't know anything about the colorbars...).

Is there any possibility in the future that the Meizler module will be able too record every frame rate from the camera? e.g. if we're filming at 200fps then it automatically creates an H.264, MXF or other file that is also 200fps?
