  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

The List - Please maintain

My palms are gettin shweaty. I leave for Ecuador on Feb 24th to shoot a doc and my order # is 1433. Ohhhh soooo close. Anyone think I'll get it before I leave? My guess is that it'll come the day after I leave because that's how life usually works. If I have to shoot with my 7D, me'z will nooot be happy. For some reason they sent me a touch screen like a month ago and I've just been snuggling with that on ronery nights.

I've only got Canon lenses, so that wouldn't work. I wish I had enough cash to get a nice set of PL lenses, but alas I doezn't. Frownie face indeed.

I'm a bit further down the list than a lot of you (SO 2031). Looking at the list, it seems there are quite a few people who have ordered a couple of days later and are starting to get their Scarlets with PL mounts. This seems to point out to a supply issue with Canon mounts and I've been looking around whether there is an update on this and can't find anything.

Can anyone shed some light into this?

Thanks
Antonio

It's called "good business" and has to do with creating "happy customers." Seem alike a pretty good motivation for most businesses that intend to stay around for awhile.

Terry I' just thinking that as long as they keep getting orders, and nobody get's too upset (manifested by canceled orders), as far as they're concerned, business is good=good business. If Sony had a warehouse full of 4K cameras sitting on the shelves ready to ship, priced in the ballpark of Scarlet, maybe Red would have to redefine "good business". But that's not the case, so I really don't see a motivation for them to ramp-up too much, or any evidence to suggest a ramp up will happen. Heck, they may consider this pretty ramped for all we know. Just a simple observation.

SO 3674 PL MOUNT, allocated on the 17th and have received a Fedex shipping notification today for a 17 lb package....its either the camera or the 18 to 85 RPZ...hopefully it will be the Scarlet!

Just got my shipping email. 1247 AL Canon. Allocated Jan. 10.

I was pretty close to the end of the allocations for Jan. 10. I wouldn't be surprised if a new batch of allocations hits in the next day or two.

Well good to know some of you guys are starting to get a few cameras delivered. It just means you have to hold on tight at this stage. I'm doing a good bit of thinking to maybe develop our business plan and extend my company's services to rental, but the waiting time is the only weakness at the moment. But hey, Rome wasn't build in a day, right?

Hopefully its the beginnings of another mass allocation tuesday

Looks like it might be, I just got an allocation notice for my Scarlet-X AL mount body. SO #1320. Leaving the country in a week though so I'm a little bit worried about delivery, probably gonna have to postpone it.

EDIT: Actually scratch that, is it not an allocation notice, it is actually a notice that it will be allocated in 5-7 days which is then followed by 3-5 days of order processing and then shipping. Or maybe that is what an allocation notice is? So sounds like it will ship in 8-12 business days... still probably gonna have to delay it a week to make sure it doesnt arrive while I'm away...
