  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

The List - Please maintain

So what were most people's processing times? Officially RED says 3-5 or 5-7 days, and I'm interested to know if most shipments fall within that timeframe.
 
I tried to add my order to the list, but it is coming up locked in GoogleDocs. I have #052929, Ti-Canon Mount order 11/7/11 4:45p EST, deposit paid and it is shipping to NY.

I was really curious why you were bumped so far up the Canon orders, but that makes more sense.

Got some accessories in the mail today. REDVOLTS, Charger, Swat Rail, Top Handle, Microfiber Bag, and Bolts. Pretty excited, although I know its probably a few more weeks until the camera comes. My SO is in the 58xxx's.

Did you order PL, or AL? If AL, you are way more optimistic than I am. I am in the SO 1800's, with an AL order, and I very much doubt I will see mine in "a few more weeks".

Al Canon. Things seem to be going according to plan over at RED. God forbid, unless something catastrophic happens, there shouldn't be any reason that we all should have our cameras by February/March at the latest. If you're in the 1800's you should be very optimistic to get yours very soon! Unless by Al you meant Ti Canon, you should be good. Remember we are likely looking at a maximum of 1k-2korders at this point, more likely less than 1k if you're going by the list at all. There aren't millions or even hundreds of thousands Scarlets ordered, I don't know why so many people have that idea in their head. At the rate they're going out now its only going to get faster. We're seeing SO#s in the 2000s allocated and shipping now. So you should be soon!
 
I ordered Scarlet AL on Nov 3rd, about 3 hours after the announcement, wasn't at the event. I tried multiple times to order the package, kept getting kicked out of red.com. Finally ordered the body/AL mount successfully, got S0 51130. Figuring phones would be slammed, I waited a few days to call and add LCD, sidehandle etc, was ten told to place a seperate accessories order, which I did Nov 5, got SO 53165.

Jan 9, got notification my LCD touch was available for processing, Jan 10th I spoke with bomb squad rep, actually discussed waiting on LCD as kind of pointless without body, especially as I knew from the forum that people with Scarlet body were without an LCD. Rep advised me to take it, which I did. Later Jan 10th got Scarlet body allocation email, I paid for that today, along with all other accessories except side handle which is on backorder.

Posting this so it can be entered in the list, and especially in case the LCD touch order is a useful data point.

Yes, the pace is picking up but still you're slightly overoptimistic. The few SO#s in 2000s that got allocated are all Ti PL mounts, which shouldn't be factored in. I'm in the low 1300s and expect to get allocated within the next two rounds. That should put me in towards end of January. I could get lucky and get it in the next round. Going by the LIST, I would venture to guess that SO# in 1800s would have to wait at least few more rounds of allocations before getting called up. That should put you in sometime early February.
 
With all due respect. I wouldn't say that I'm being over optimistic at all. I would say based on the information gathered (which is a lot), and being logical, what I'm saying seems pretty accurate. I would say anyone that ordered by the end of Dec that thinks that they won't get their cam until Summer or Fall is being over-pessamistic and unrealistic. Again I'm not trying to argue or attack anyone with my response, we're all friends here. I just really feel that based on a lot of the info out there, what I'm saying is highly likely to be true.
 
I just wanted to point out that people waiting on AL Canon mount should not be using the Ti PL/Canon allocations as an indicator, that's all.

Oh I'm not, but most that you see on here that have been delivered are Al lately. Seems to be a good mix of Al and PL now, but obviously, not Ti. But, if they're ramping up production and allocations now, its only going to get quicker according to their plan. Everything is supposed to be out of backorder by Feb or March, and what I'm saying is at the inclining rate that its going that should be the case. Jarred said he's supposed to post an update about the backorders within a few days. Hopefully its great news.
