  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Im 1221
If 500 (about) cameras have shipped, then in theory I should be under 1000. Should that mean they will ship another 500 cameras next month? meaning ill get mine next month?

Hopefully camera body production will start to ramp up and we will be seeing more in the next few weeks!
 
I wonder if PL mount Scarlets have priority still? Originally they was a good stock pile of those mounts, hence the early ship dates. But I wonder if there is still an inventory of them and therefore a regular queue now for every mount?

haha, no sir... call it a combination of guess, hope, and knowing that red wants us to get these things as badly as we want them.

that's all based on general observations from the last few years, so take it for what it is. i have a lot of confidence in red, so when they say they're trying their best i know they're working even harder than it appears. in any case, patience is the most tried and proven approach.

Right there with you Michael. I wondered how some randoms get sidehandles, when they ordered at the same time as everyone else.
 
I'm #980 so I definitely want #981 taken care of ecause I would be in that too!! (at least I hope ;)

Any ideas where we are in the list?
From the two docs it looks like the most recent AI Canon Mount Scarlet was SO#888
(not counting ones from the event).

Does anyone know of any higher SO orders that have received theirs?
(Canon AI mount, not PL)
 
I think 888 is the highest. And +1 for a mass of allocations (942). I've needlessly flown several thousand miles with an orphaned lens and VMount battery/VF plate but I would forgive all if there was a camera waiting for me at home. ;)
 
Well mine's been at my LOCAL Fedex since friday...grrrr...

Apparently because of the holidays, they didn't bother to take the pallet that its in apart, so eventhough it's "here" I couldn't even go pick it up.

Yeah tell me about it. Mine has been shipped all the way to Australia, only to sit two hours away from where I live for the past 5 days. Though may just be a gorgeous paper weight in any event unless I'm one of the lucky side handlers...

As to highest SO number, technically I was SO 909... but I believe I was adjusted due to phone order and I think mine was allocated around twelve hours before Jarek's from the posts... So 888 is prob still the bench mark.

Liam, don't take this the wrong way, but I have to ask - you have contacted FedEx and arranged to pay the import duties and GST right? Once you pay Duties and GST and get 'International shipment release' status on your tracking notices you should get the package delivered the next day, or the day after that at the latest. Surely the package shouldn't take five days between arriving in Alexandria and being delivered to you (even with a public holiday thrown into the mix)?
