  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Same thing happened to me after a claim with Athos. I now use Insuremyequipment.com and have had a claim and they didn't drop me. Plus they are much cheaper. Only downside is all communication is via email.
 
Is the claim issue common with Athos??

I'm looking for a good insurance company for my new scarlet-w in Spain.

I had a camera get damaged on set. My insurance company is Athos and my policy was underwritten by International Marine. The process was handled fast and professional. I know we all hate spending money on insurance but I can honestly and whole heartily recommend these guys.

I was curious about the whole non renewable thing, so I called Athos today.

The lady on the phone was very friendly and helpful.

She said that if you have your 1st big claim with them (upwards of 50k)

They are not going to drop you, but if you have two claims like that within a year, they usually have to let you go.

Or if you have several smaller claims within a year.
 
No Issues, the process was fast and "professional". I think Athos has first class service. I had to fill out a few forms and get a report from red service dept and my final form had to be notarized. My claim was under 10k; The camera was "fixable"
