  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

The journey...

Don't take the brick off the accelerator, Jim. The ride is wild, refreshing and exciting.
 
And what a wild ride it has been. And I wouldn't have missed it for the world Jim! And what a wild and exciting ride it will continue to be...

And with or without that, this has been a wonderful journey for the past couple years! My wife and my bank account both hate me now, but I think they'll both recover.
 
joined the party late and jumped the line, bit only because I hadnt heard of the Camera until Shawn Nelson (#27) showed up with one for a trailer being shot at our Studio last year.

To everyone at RED. Thank you so much. I've been watching this ride on the sidelines for the last couple years waiting for my chance in line. I hope all my hard work pans out and I can cash in on your hard work these last few years. Looking forward to scarlet as my RED launching pad.

none of this would have happened to me if i was not on the NAB show room floor in 2006 at 10 am in a funky little booth listening to a few people talk about a what if scenario regarding a 4k camera, I heard the word "Jannard" come out of someone's mouth and i immediately took out my credit card. short of meeting my wife and having my son, probably the best thing i ever did.

after 20+ years in this business i have learned more in the last two years because of the opportunities this camera has presented to me than the previous 20 times 1000.

jim & team, you are all god like creature to me and my family. the experiences i have had in the last two years i will take to my grave as some of the most outstanding moments in my life and i did some pretty interesting things in the 43 years before that.

the scary thing is i know that this is just the beginning and in the next two years what will happen will make these last two years seem like a joke. i can not say enough nice things or read enough praise for you guys and girls to express what i am truly feeling.

thank you again for the opportunity to be part of this journey.

Indeed it has been the great journey, Red, you opened my eyes to look beyond Sony PD-150 ( :p ), like riding a rocket from the ground to the above in 30 seconds. Although I can't breath, I won't mind :-).

Not exactly in the same way but same #0111 day here.

I know Jim appreciates it as some sort of reversal marketing strategy. But the words 'scam' and 'Jim Jannard' don't match -- I'm sorry 'buddy'. Only as said, as best copywriter marketing. Something that, as for instance, some people @ cinematography.com forums never understood. They have been actually serving the cause, not their inner circle agenda, though. :smiley:

Yes Jim. The work you and your team have put in is remarkable. I'm sure it's been a tiring few years. You stand at the crossroads now, purely a household name amongst digital cinema enthuasiasts and professional geeks alike. You are our ... SONY! The ultimate, the goal, the choice.
As a fan of your creation (the RED One) and what you have given to all our lives, we can only ask of you....to keep on keeping on.
Bring out the Scarlet.
Bring out the Epic.
RedCine-X looks like it's going to be delightful, innovative and help streamline our individual projects. If the Scarlet and the Epic live up to the expectations we had towards the RED ONE; no-one will be disappointed and your invention will be as popular (depandant on the price) as USB keys.
USB keys would have to be one of the best inventions of the last decade. Accessible to anyone and it has a multitude of uses.
Can anyone remember the name of the USB key inventor?
Jim Jannard is nolonger synonomous with making sun glasses.

You must be tired Jim, but for us, please please please press on. The only thing that would brighten up our recession would be a handful of new effective and affordable cameras. Let's all go back to chasing our dreams...

J. J its a shame you r just now realizing what we as a community with you as our leader have done to change the landscape of high-end media forever. Another revolutionary and risk taking company Propellerheads is moving music and sound in the most revolutionary way never seen b4. Jim we r here as always. Pitching a movie to distributors has become very easy as they all know and understand the production value of the Red Cam. keep it up. SCAMMERS!

You can say that as loud as you can, and or use the biggest and most bad A%@!@$ speaker system and still will not be loud in off to truly signify how true this statements really are!!

Has been an incredible experience, exiting, fulfilling, and inspiring which has literally in times of darkness give me strength to continue on and ..PERSEVERE!!

I don't think "Chronicles of Perseverance" would have ever had a chance to soon see the lithe of day if it wasn't for RED!!
