  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

The Hobbit...

well thats.....distressing....I don't think LOTR would work for 3D. The type of story that it is, the settings, the production design, are all these fantastic elements that work really well in a non 3D environment. In reality, the only film I know of that 3D actually works as a storytelling device is TRON, because it makes sense.

Though, if they are dead set on 3D, at least they're shooting it that way and not doing post conversion.

Distressing? . . Really? . . It is causing you extreme anxiety, sorrow, and/or pain?

Although I am not distressed when I don't have the opportunity to see a movie presented in 3D, I don't understand people's opinions on this. The chance you will actually see it in 3D is actually much less than seeing it in 2D I would imagine, unless all the theaters in your area have banned non-3D presentation.

And we are talking about The Hobbit, yes? I have a feeling this story will be much more logical in 3D presentation. What's going on here?:

...I don't know, I bet Peter Jackson and multiple RED cameras will be able to clear it up completely I am sure ^_^

Can't wait to see some of the camera rigs that get cooked up. Still waiting for the crazy dual-viewfinder mockup RED rendered up awhile back. . .

The quality of 3D done by that production will have nothing to do with the depressing 3D, hastily slapped on, by recent films.

I'm sure it will be used to tell the story better and make the film more engrossing; that's how PJ rolls.

was that mr. Jackson holding the camera with just two hands or there was another support hidden ?

looks very light.
