  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

The Hobbit trailer...

The greatest fantasy film requires the greatest cinema camera. I'm sure Peter knows this. So, knowing that being able to shoot our footage with that very same camera is truly inspiring. We are no longer limited by technology. Let us all show the world how its meant to be shown. With Red. At 5k . Ok for me it will be 4k when I get the Scarlet but its was good enough for Fincher. It should be fine for me :)
 
With 24 Epic 3D Rigs shooting at 48 fps I'd love to know how many REDMAGs they have and how they are handling the material. It's got to be a lot of content and I'm sure they have developed an awesome pipeline.
 
Peter has the most incredible teams ever assembled on the planet. Trust me.

A big week guys. Congratulations. The most amazing things is, while you're in there boots 'n' all with The Hobbit, Prometheous, Gatzby et al, you are, at the same time, helping inspire and enable independent movie makers around the world - with the same cameras!! Holy crap.

Jim...i know...... i hope you have met Richard Taylor......I have and am in ore of the skill these people have....And formost there generosity to talk to people like me...And of course you should be proud.....I know you dont need a pat on the back but if i could id hit you pretty hard.

I am Pretty sure that this will be the first Time ever that i will like 3D and that 3D will make sense to me .
I have not seen so far a 3D movie that i would prefer it to the 2D version (including Avatar and Hugo)

The Years of The lord Of The Rings were memorable for me :each Christmas , after the 1st movie of the Trilogy ended , i started right away to look forward for the following christmas to see the new Lord Of the Rings .

After this Trailer i will live that feeling again .

Does anyone know if the trailer will be at the Movie Theater (and before what Movie?)

I really do struggle for words when i think of Peter Jackson. I believe the LOTR trilogy is the Sistine chapel of our times.
I've never met Peter, I'm just a nobody fan, but I literally watch his blogs and behind the scenes, also been to see him speak, and he inspires me to that point where I feel proud to be a human being. You get such a strong sense of... This is what it's really about. Forget film maker, this is the kind of man I'd like to be.

I can only imagine how it must feel to have created a tool so powerful that it is now at the heart of one of the world greatest artistic ventures Mr Jannard.
Congratulations to everyone at RED. It may not get better than this. But I think it's likely. PJ has a lot of years of magic left in him yet,
and you guys look so very very far from done! And there's always the next PJ bound to pop up as well. :)

The experience of going to the movies will never be replaced by home theaters just like the experience of hearing a musician play live, no matter how easy it is to copy music nowadays. If you have a wife and kids, I guess you'll understand this: one goes to the movies, even if the title doesn't really attract you that much, just for the sake of sharing and "going out"
 
Yeah! Go Peter! I love that that can be done with no major additional cost to the production. Just keep rolling.....
