Great film.

Glad their not taking about me . . . my work is pure art!!

Democratization of tools for creating art is good. Only the established feel a treat to their status with this. Quality doesn't come from the democratization, but from the talent, culture and hard work of the artist. The democratization helps, however, talented, hardworking people that in other times couldn't produce due to the lack of money or contacts, create quality material and art that can challenge the established ones and the system. I'm all for more and more accessible tools. And more and more distribution channels.

I definitely would have missed this if you hadn't pulled it and given it a unique thread. Glad you took the time.

This is an excellent synthesis of the millenial seismic shift in art.

Props to House of Radon for making an awesome film. Thought-provoking and beautiful.

I loved this film. I was on a great arc and then it fizzled a bit for me. It felt like it was being stretched a bit then it got lost when the final pointed seemed to be (SPOILER ALERT) live music is where it is at. we will always have live, live will save us.

So much great content in this film and it was filled with potential and GREAT CINEMATOGRAPHY, GREAT PACE, GREAT QUOTES. But I have to say that as it was winding down I thought it started to fizzle by bringin everyting back to the music industry.

It was making points about things we have known for ten years by the end.

I wish they would have further explored the "sea of shit" being created and what that means in a larger global context.

Beyond my nitpicking, I think it's a great film, but I feel it could have been exceptional had it moved to the next level itellectually.

I agree with all your criticisms, David, wholeheartedly.

But (isn't there always a "but"?) I can't think of another moving image piece like it. There are books and blogs which make these same points. And, ahem, forums where people discuss and dispute this shit all day long...But to see all these bits - music and artists and visuals - together in one piece is so much more moving than, say, the blog or forum version.

Meryem,

I agree with you as well. If I had made this film, I would be really proud of it. It is a gorgeous piece of work.

It qualifies as great art for me because it got me thinking, but (and there is always a but) I would have enjoyed it more had it continued to explore things (a more natural evolutionary structure, the way the internet and life is) compared to trying to be a bit traditional and coming back to the composer toward the end where I felt it lingered on nostalgia rather than elevating.
