  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

The Big Bug Thread...

scaling and cropping seem to have gone for the moment in RCX. I have several files shot 4.5 (4480x1920) which need some geometry adjustments - are geometry changes going to be reinstated at some point? Please

Yes. It's more complicated for redcinex since it needs to play well with the timeline but it is in progress now.

great thanks for the quick feedback. Of course I cannot open these clips in the earlier version of RedCine so for me it would be good to get these features back in a reasonable time - I appreciate you guys are putting everything you can in to this, I'm not complaining ...

ive been playing with RCX a bit today and noticed an apparently small thing which I hope can be looked into. I am working with clips shot at 25fps - I could not see any setting for project timebase at the moment but RCX seems to display duration at 30fps regardless of the clip timebase. ie 200 frames = 6sec and 20fr not the 8 sec my clip actually runs (at 25fps) On output and viewed in Quicktime and other software it shows the correct duration. Am I missing something here or is this something that will be dealt with at some point?

How are we looking on a more usable version of this? Since Red has been around Beta kind of means finished, like Redcine. It never got out of beta and that's what I use most.

Lots of improvements and bug fixes in the next version coming out.
