  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Tell Apple you want R3D native support for FCPX!!!

Unfortunately there is much more than R3D support necessary to make iMovieX a professional grade NLE.

I think Apple knows we need more than presets for color grading without us asking for it (among a ton of other basic needs). Shall we make a list of basic needs and wait another 3 years to see what Apple has to offer, or move on to other products which are staying quite up to date with our technology?

With that much being said, I'm very excited about CS6 and it's new interface...

Don't pick on FCP X Joseph. I have been editing for 25 years. It's a very good piece of software out of the gate.

Trust me on this one.

It's powerful...

It's not at all like to you to threadjack... :)

Sent... But I know where Joseph is coming from. Cutting on FCP for almost 10 years... Heartbreaking but its never too late! The more feedback the better! At least a clear conscience one has done its part in trying to change. Already sent feedback on the "other stuff", before...

Sent. I have three FCP 7 seats and have not upgraded any of them. I did buy Avid and Adobe Premiere 5.5 and will be switching as soon as I get my Scarlet. When that will be I have no idea.

Done.

Correct me if I'm wrong but RED has the SDK for developing a plugin for having EPIC/SCARLET R3D files to work in FCP7. But it looks like they may not have everything to allow it to work in FCPX.... correct? For those wanting native R3D files to work in FCP7, I don't there will be any development on REDs part there as they recommend going through RCP for that. I believe this thread is for getting FCPX to read native R3D files.
