  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

TACTICAL TOP PLATE

I put in my order just before Jarred posted here... Not sure what possessed me to even look at that time, but I saw I could place a deposit, so I did. It was listed as backordered then too. I'm guessing that it either came up just as backordered, or a bunch of people are using apps or bots to monitor the page for changes and they knew instantly.

Red now posts all their new products as backordered from the get go since it's a simple inevitability? haha

Our first production batch is always in small numbers the first post, since everything is machined. It usually take a couple weeks till the larger numbers start coming in consistently as the machines, operators and programming get more and more fine tuned. Remember.. we have hundreds and hundreds of parts that need machining from cameras to accessories, and we don't have hundreds and hundreds of machines to cut everything on. yet.

Yet. :-) I like it.

As someone who owns a Haas VF1 myself, I used to wonder why you guys didn't have a bunch of them. No more wondering and sounds like you guys are really gearing up to be able to do major production.

And to me, it is a big deal that you are doing the manufacturing here in the US - our country needs as much of this as we can. (I wish apple would follow suit)

Just curious, are you guys using HAAS? (for the redusers: HAAS is the leading american manufacturer of CNC machines, and they are made in California)

The level of quality, creativity, packaging and passion in RED product is what MADE IN THE USA was all about. Once upon a time.

Its awesome to see a return. I don't mind waiting for product that good.

Apart from the odd user manual (handy for simpletons like me) you cannot fault it.

All this from somebody who hasn't even rolled a frame yet. Gives me a chance to work out how all the software works anyway.

Keep on going RED. Stay hungry. Stay foolish.

I love the YET part ;) that means more jobs for Americans too. GOOD WORK! (no offense to my international friends) and what a fun job machining parts for these cameras!

arrived yesterday :)

great...waiting mine.

What was your order time? I got my order confirmation at 3:06 pm on Oct 13 (part of the few who ordered before it went live on the site), and I have yet to be allocated one.

He he... I really love the "YET" part... ;)

it seems all of the compatibility check marks on the site aren't correct at the moment they haven't been updated from then announcement (to my knowledge) and look like they're still reflecting the old scarlet concept body from what I've read the only thing different in the body that effects the cages is the right side because scarlet doesn't have the ribs that epic has

Thank you for the answer. That's a bit what I thought...
It makes sense since it's 99% the same body... But there is the 1%... :)
