Syndicate 7D Cinematic PL rod mount.

It's already available on Ebay auction with the starting bid: US $4,000.00

Syndicate:
"PL-mount now available on EBAY! First in the world that we know to support all PL-lenses.

We're presenting the world's first and only Canon EOS 7D modified with a PL-mount that works with all types of PL lenses, even deep ones.
Perfect for both production of full HD film as well as use as a perfect portable viewfinder for regular film production.

The mount features a customizable rods and tripod attachment unit with support for Arri Studio Standard 19mm rod configuration as well as the ability to change
to off-center configurations and 15mm rods (with hole adapter, not included). The attachment can be mounted on both film (large screw) and photo (small screw)
tripods and offers better stability and durability than the camera's tripod screw. The attachment also has various holes for attaching additional equipment such as microphones.

The camera house is modified to accept all kinds of PL lenses using a permanent, but completely dust free hollowing process.
However, the optical view-finder and the still photo exposure meter is disabled in the process.

Features:
* Aluminum PL-mount with support of deep lenses
* Detachable tripod attachment with 19mm cinema rods support (Rods not included).
* The perfect portable view-finder when working with traditional film
* Camera house and mount ships with original 7D packaging.
* Charger, battery and manuals included (scandinavian languages. English available online)"

Holy heck! Combine this with an Angenieux 25-250 and you've got a 1080P PL mount camera for under $7K today!

Still, why go the eBay route? Why not just make commercial versions and sell it through them like the BNCR mount?

Zack,

they should put soon some video online that we can see what is going on there...

Sanjin, what is exactly the interest of recording the HDMI signal with the Nanoflash ? I thought the output was only 720P or am I mistaken ?

Thanks !

Jean-Charles,

the HDMI recorded image it's 1920x1080 and when you crop that to get rid of recording red dot then you can finish with 1620x910.

With nanoFlash or AJA KiPro mobile HDMI recorders you would be able to record better codec than H264.

But Canon and other DSLR makers should enable with a new firmware upgrade their HDMI live monitor picture recording at full size

with multiple fps option and clear it from the menu settings and red recording dots.

Andrew,

you can read from the first post above:

* Camera house and mount ships with original 7D packaging.

+ $4000 whole rig price
- $1699 only 7D price
---------------------
= $2301 probably would cost you that PL mount + accessories before shipping, paypal and VAT costs.

They had to completely take the camera apart to fit that mount and then put it back together - so yes it's HEAVILY modded.

Clever guys. They will "hopefully" soon release a 3D visualization software for moco, which is out of this world. I've never worked that fast with any motion control rig and it was with the Milo.
