  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

I need a Sydney based DP/Shooter to shoot a medical procedure. It will be around 5 hours worth of time at the hospital with the procedure itself taking about an hour and a half. Assuming all permissions are given by the doctors and the hospital it will be within the next 2-3 weeks. There will be an experienced medical producer and a sound guy on hand. I'll supply the Epic kit. You just need to shoot it.

You will need to be calm and not get in the way. The procedure is very delicate. It involves injecting millions of microscopic radioactive spheres into my liver. You must be able to handle blood without feeling sick, there will be some. You must also be prepared for the possibility that things might go wrong. They're going to inject an obscene amount of radiation directly into a vital organ. If the organ fails it's lights out.

I've had this procedure once before and it bought me another year. If my liver is up for it I'm going in again. I have some budget for it so please let me know what you would charge for your time.

I hope you are well Kris? I filmed a guy having his hand being reconstructed after he microwaved it some how a few years back. Was scared to death and unsure what to expect before i went into theater but found the whole procedure very clean and rather exciting. Good luck anyway!
 
Wow, this is not an every day shoot. Kris, I would be interested. Consider my fee to be $0.
 
Hi guys, things have changed a bit and due to an extension on the hire of my own Epic I find myself without one for tomorrow.

Rental houses want 2-3 days to check references etc plus huge deposits.

Is there anyone out there in Sydney who has an Epic kit available tomorrow. Can wire transfer $$$ tonight. Need to know ASAP. Procedure scheduled for 9am tomorrow.

Might do better with an MX kit instead. Easier to find and possibly cheaper.
