Which are better for the Raven and S-W...the Switronix Hypercore 98W Red or the HC-7R Red? I know I've seen it in a post somewhere. Thanks!

i bought a mixture of both 2 and 2.
the 98w just last a little bit longer but are a little bit bigger. otherwise the same.

the only difference is the 98 will last longer and have a neat lcd display telling you how long you have left on the batt, or how long it will take to charge on the charger. I like the look of the slim ones, but will prob need 2 for every 1 98

Is there a significant weight difference between the two?

Great. Thanks for the info. I might go for a 4x the 98 and 2x the slim.

That won't really be enough to power you all day. The 98wh last roughly 1.5 hours...and less as the battery starts to degrade after A LOT of charges. I used to only have 5 (98's) and I have to charge on set for a typical 12-hour day. So you're probably going to want to pick some more up, or go for a cheaper alternative.

I think 6 batts is a very nice start, and although you may need to be charging a bit on set, that is not un common.

Just have to keep in mind that most chargers take 4 hours or so per battery...unless you get a crazy expensive charger which cuts the time down to roughly 2 hours or so.

I have 2 of the hypercore 98 red batteries that I just got for when I get my scarlet w. I didn't realize how long they take to charge. Looks like I will need to pick up a few more. I don't mind having to charge through the day but it seems 2 is definitely not enough.

You can probably keep things going with 4 minimum, assuming you're charging on-set. But as others have mentioned, if you don't have dedicated charging, you won't make it through the day without powering down periodically.

and they just announced some sort of hotswapper that mount two batteries on back, saw it on their instagram

According to B&H product info, the Switronix charger will charge 4 98W in 2.5 hrs.

You are refering the the Fleet Q4S charger!

Personally I've purchased 1 98 and 2 slim to begin with to try out. As I've not received my scarlet yet I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts in real world shooting scenarios!

I know that the slim batteires were made with gimbal work in mind. The 98wh battery is the same width and length but bigger in depth. Will this 98wh battery still fit on the Raven when I put it on my Ronin? I understand it will be .6 lbs heavier than the slim, I'm not worried about that. I'm more concerned with watt hours.

Can someone post a pic of their Switronix battery and Red on their Ronin? I have the Ronin M and want to see your guys configurations/setup. Anyone know how long the Slims last? Thanks!
