HI all, have some footage that was accidentally shot 24, need to render 23.98 to match audio; used to be in redcine you could set up a project at 23.98 and tell your render to be 23.98 and everything was peachy; just tried to set my render out and not only is the file not usable by final cut for some reason (says its not a movie file even though color and compressor can read it; but frame rate is still at 24; any thoughts?

Cinema Tools, (batch) conform to 23.98.

I think there's just a long list of things to get (re)written... I'm currently waiting (or missing) how to export with Edgecode TC for shows that use it.

Personally, just anxiously waiting for Rocket-enabled Redline.

You can cheat this by dropping a short 2398 clip on the timeline and then the 24.

The notion of a "project setting" will be added to RCX also.

Deanan, while we're on this topic:

We shot 23.98 footage, brought it into REDCineX and exported as 29.97. Is RCX set up to do this conversion correctly? Adding pulldown, I guess?

Thanks!

It's not. retiming has to be done elsewhere.
