Looking for some advice on removing a stripped OLPF screw.

I was changing from the STH OLPF to the Standard OLPF. Three of them came out with no problem, but the 4th must have been screwed in tight because it wasn't coming out. I tried gently at first, as I did the others, but applied more pressure and eventually the TINY, fragile screw stripped.

I'd like to get replacement screws, but I've obviously got to get this one out. Any recommendations would be great! Thanks!

tape up everything around the screw and take it to a machine shop so they can remove it with a left handed small drill

That happened to me not too long ago. After getting some advice on RU, I took it to Ablecine in LA and they were able to safely remove the stripped bolt. (And they did it for free!)

I don't know what they actually did, so I can't give you direct advice, but I would check in with Ablecine NY and see if they can help out.

I tried the rubber band trick, didn't work. I'm debating trying superglue, but not really looking forward to it. I think Abel is my best bet. Thanks, guys!

Ooooh the thing with cyanoacrylates "Super Glues" is they have a monomer vapor that can polymerize with water vapor... In English that means the glue vapor can condense onto cold surfaces such as glass and metal and then from the water vapor in the air bond to itself together forming a super glue film on things...

+1 on Left hand drill + tap... very small though. There is a specific tool for that that looks like a wonky corkscrew that has left handed variable pitch screw/spiral/helix on it. So sometimes you can put a small drill bit into a small hand chuck/tapping wrench to drill by hand if you have good skills for a pilot hole and then go in with the left handed cork screw that self taps into the damaged screw/head.

UV curing super glue... ?

Head snapped off ? Needle nose pliers and small jewelers rasp ?

What IS the screw out of interest for that OLPF?

Sorry I'm the wrong side of the pond to fix this... we do carry spare screws though if they turn out hard to source.
