  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Strap on shoulder pad group buy...

Nobody's missed out just yet - there were 8 or 10 of them that the first folks in the thread get. If there are another 25 or so people interested after that... another batch will be made for them.

OK, here's the deal people...
To purchase please send an e-mail to...

stu@thehouseofpower.us

Give him your name, address and the number of shoulder pads wanted and he'll reply with payment and shipping details.

Hey how are you guys doing this? I emailed Stu direct as per Evin's post.

Group buy or direct?

For the moment just e-mail Stu. If Abel decides to carry them it will be between Stu and Abel, but that will be at a later date. I don't know if it will be cheaper or not or when Abel will have them so if you want one soon and for $99, e-mail Stu.

The group buy was because I originally needed 20 orders to even have the damn things made. Now that half of Reduser is on board it's basically just a straight purchase.

Just give me a couple of days after the weekend to work this out. I promise you won't pay MORE than $99. Maybe less.

Thanks Evin!

Thanks Evin!

Hi Evin,

Just spoke to Stu and I am all set up. Thank you for passing my name along this afternoon. I really can't wait to get my hands on these pads, the spider grips (will be ordered next week) and the ET LW 15mm rod set up (which I just ordered! Vivian Rocks!).

Stu is a great guy and incredibly helpful... Also, I am really interested in his 20 amp Super Block Battery System which makes complete sense for much of my work and greatly reduces the on set pucker factor I usually spend stressing over batts! I was told to talk to our man Mitch for the purchase...

Cheers-- Andrew

Andrew, shoot me a PM and we'll hook you up.

I like to keep the center of gravity low also - that's why I came up with the lightweight support. This way there is nothing on the bottom of my camera except my Cartoni quick release plate. I like the strap on shoulder pad idea, but I made a shoulder pad that snaps onto the bottom of the cam. It grabs four screws that I have put into the 1/4-20 threaded holes in the sides and goes under the quick release plate; takes about 5 seconds to pop on and off. Will post a video about it if there is interest.

I very interested in your "shoulder pad little invention"...

Okay, will make a video and post, in my copious spare time . . . No, I will do it this week.
