The power of shooting RAW R3D's is absolutely amazing...however, there is something to be said for a DP's job in giving a great base image to start with. I thought it would be cool to see what amazing imagery you guys create...straight from the camera with no grades or post-work done to it. Have some fun and post some of your favorite frame grabs you've captured!

Here are a few of mine from some recent productions. Again, all straight from the camera. All shot on Zeiss Contax Glass.

Nice idea for a thread Chris. And thanks for sharing the results you've been achieving along the way.

Here are some not so glamorous pics from a Scarlet-X 5K 12fps sequence I just happened to be sorting through.

All RedColor4/RedGamma4. Totally unadjusted, except for the border and a little bit of sharpening I threw on the JPG's.

Looks great Chris. Keep it up!

Thanks Tom...always good to hear from you!

Thanks Kwan!

damn, looking good.

Appreciate the compliment Brandon.

@Kenneth:
Nice grabs man!

@Les:

Fun. Straight out of camera from a recent shoot with Kowa Anamorphics on Dragon + LLO OLPF. One man band, natural lighting, all handheld and with movement:

Natural lighting is the best isn't it? Great looking stuff Matt...course I would expect nothing less from you. :hurray:

Love natural light! I hear Australia is the most beautiful light, but I think the California sun will do ;-)

Thanks! I could say the same for you and your work :cheers2:

I fear that all this thread is gonna do is make me lust for glass that I can't afford (and, yeah, it's rad.)

Matt, were those bare Kowas or did you use filtration?

Kenneth, what filtration did you use (or what glass)?

Yowza! I knew this thread would be dangerous :)

haha they are beautiful lenses. I used Nick Fury's set for that shoot. I'm sure he'd rent them to you and you can save yourself from buying ;-)
