I would love it if we could pull a still frame of a clip and store it on the epic. Then recall it from one of the buttons as a quick reference for the live view. It would also be nice if we could superimpose the image with control over opacity. I want the choice to pull the image from a still I take with the camera, from a clip I shot on the camera from any point in the clip, or an image I can load from an outside source. Images from an outside source shouldn't be limited to red only files. If I wanted to load a guide for a product, graphics, text, special effects template etc. I could do so. Maybe an import feature into Redcine to convert to a usable camera format?

Waddyatink?

Oh... and I want world peace, good will towards men, health, love, that crap to go away in the gulf AND job security.

Now that we're down the road a bit I thought I'd put this out there again.

I think the ability to grab a still while shooting motion is at least in the works. I know I saw Ted talking about that functionality in the Red 101 stuff on the red.com pages. Everything else I'm assuming is not in the works, because I have not heard it anywhere but this thread.

Thank you for bringing this up again Jim... I could really use this feature as well, it would eliminate some steps we now take on set to do the same but slower. ;)

Hope all is well Jim and Happy Thanksgiving!
