  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Stealing DP Credits - AGAIN! Someone DO Something!

Only a few months later and this credit thief is at it again with the SAME EXACT website and scam. First he was busted for stealing credits for Wedding videos he had NOTHING to do with, then stealing DP credits from some of the worlds BEST Commercial DP's, and now he's at it again changing the last letter in his name whilst using the same exact site. He removed the original site promptly after finding out he had been exposed the first time, and now for round two.

Please do not contact him to 'tell him off'. If you are going to do something, make an effort that will help handle it legally. WAY more of an impact. I feel so bad for the clients he's reeled in off others work... And the incomparable footage they received...

This is awful. What a terrible thing to do to clients and to the people who's work you're taking and presenting as your own. It makes me pretty mad to see someone behaving like this.

What a moron!!! He even has his picture available for everyone to see! This guy has no respect for anything. He needs to have his ass kicked, after all legal options have been exhausted of course :shocked:

He has to be a complete f*&^#$g MORON!!! This guy puts his face on his lies. How does he ever think he will work, ever, in this industry?! He might fool one person but no way will he get away with this. This is FRAUD!!!!

Sadly, it is all too common in the world of media professionals. It has only gotten worse since the cost of tools and the ease of technology have achieved parity.
 
One has to at least laugh on the inside that the most recent work of his listed on IMDB is "Please Don't Trust Me".

Richie, why do you care so much? There are lots of frauds in the world, heard the phrase "fake it till you make it?"

Steven Spielberg starting out by breaking into a lot, occupying an empty trailer and holding casting calls from inside it.
Clients who get burned do it to themselves by not practicing due diligence. Spending money on films is always a "risk." Stealing credits is a cheep trick for sure, not a lasting business practice either. He'll burn himself, why waste your energy on him? Life isn't fair, go shoot something, make some art, spend YOUR TIME on better things, unless you plan on a career as an online fact checker or detective.

Since you did spend the time compiling this info, I'll keep my eye out for him if I can remember the name or face in my business dealings. Is he working out of Los Angeles?

are you joking? the only way to compare this in any way would be if spielberg would have listed "Casablanca" on his credits....borrowing a suit, car, office is NOT in the same category in any way....
why do you want him to defend himself? where do you see a "misunderstanding"...

a side note....this is a common practice on model, photographer, hair/make up web portfolios...really sad.....the worst i have seen is actually a girl posting pics of other girls as hers....very, very strange....

i have never seen anyone be so openly fraudulent about this....and the fact that he thinks he can just drop a letter from his name and keep going?

this is easily solved..
Use his contact info and web page to book him for a bunch of jobs, preferably ones in very distant and difficult locations...
Waste his time as much as possible..
set up meetings where he ends up being the only attendee...
Use your imagination..
and if that fails, there is always the Re/Search book on pranks for inspiration.

Assault and other illegal actions not suggested... nor is actual harrassment..
but there is a lot of room for helping Karma along...

Sorry he was claiming credits of a colleague of mine.. Jonathan Sela... who managed to get his agent involved ...
